I had a problem with websites taking 15 seconds to load up when on chrome, it would load in seconds. I disabled the setting you suggested and it worked. I wonder if this is some weird Microsoft developer thing that they are testing out ???

After days of investigations I’ve tracked this to the Edge Secure DNS settings and the fix is trivial. Go into Setting -> Privacy, Search, and Services and turn off Secure DNS.
I had a really odd custom secure DNS setup configured and I don’t know where it came from, but removing it cleared up the issue immediately.
Hopefully this will help others with similar problems.

The first solution was the key. As soon as I increased the disk space from a paltry 65 to 1024 MB, Edge was working fast again! I think the disk space setting was recently changed by another program I was using, which claims to speed up your browsers. NOT!

In fact, the default folder doesn’t even exist. I created one and it is fast now. However, this makes me wondering why a browser made by Microsoft on a OS made also by Microsoft can’t even get this right? Like, making sure the internet temp file folder exists, or have enough space for it? Chrome or FireFox don’t need any of this fix to work!
