Call of Duty Black Ops 6 will take up over 300GB of Xbox Series XS storage space

Brace your Xbox Series X|S as Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 will require 309.85 GB of storage at launch. This makes Black Ops 6 potentially the biggest game from the franchise in terms of storage space requirements on day one.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 will need a mind-boggling 309.85 GB of storage space at launch

According to the Black Ops 6 page on the Xbox store, the approximate size of the game is 309.85 GB. And, given the frequent patches and updates for COD games, an extra hundred GB is going nowhere.

Let’s not forget, that these storage requirements are only for Xbox Series X and S. We are yet to hear how much storage space Black Ops 6 would require on other platforms.

COD players are used to such storage requirements, though

Well, that jaw-dropping storage requirement isn’t a surprise as players are used to seeing games taking over 100 GB at launch. While that is true, COD players have seen huge install sizes in the past. That said, it seems Black Ops 6 will beat other games from the franchise in terms of how much room it will need.

As you may know, Call of Duty players can somewhat reduce their overall footprint by picking and choosing parts of the games to be installed. However, the full-fledged experience of the game will require you to keep a big chunk of storage space free.

In short, you’ll need a decent hard drive plugged into your Xbox console or PC when Black Ops 6 arrives. The game saw a worldwide reveal at yesterday’s Xbox Games event and is coming later this year, on October 25.

Do you have enough storage or you’ll need a new hard drive for the game? Let us know in the comments below.
